| In a Cave somewhere in a swmap, there live a group of Giant slugs, watched over by Mother Sludge, The Slug mother. The Slug Mother is also a giant slug, but she posseses a few human qualities aswell as the abillity to shapeshift. The Slugs release a gas that is toxic to humans and very flammable.  If venturing to meet the slugs, don't. They hate visitors and will devour them. If this doesn't deter you, bring a lantern for a candle will explode due to the gas. Also bring a gnomish gas mask as they protect you from the gas. The Slugs are worshipped by a cult known as "The Slug Brothers." More information on the cult is found on the cults topic in the NPC forum. I have met these slugs and their cult, but I only have had audience with their mother once. She appeared in the form of a very slimy cat. I tried to gain her alliegance for the final battle, but she said that no one would touch her children and that I must leave at once. I did so and never went there again. However, in the Grand Council, where a leader of every tribe, city, kingdom and cult gathers, they have a representative. His name is Mort Mayre and I speak regualarily with him. P.S. Do not confuse the Grand council with the council. Our Council (The group) is the head of the Grand council, where all the representatives from everywhere discuss matters. | |

| Thechnically if anyone has ever brought a candle into the cave the resulting explosion would destroy all the slugs and a coniderable amount of the surrounding countryside. So how do we know the gas is flammable? | |

| The slugs are impervious to fire and the ground is very strong. The fire doesn't result in an explosion, so much as incineration. The cloaks that the Slug brothers wear are impervious to such fire, but humans, elves, dwarfs etc. are very vulnerable. | |
