etm. First Age Elvish. Meaning 'Many Under/Lower Toothed'

Desc. A Brown-Purple-Yellow Striped Dragon With A Large Wide Lower Jaw And Small Thin and Long Upper Jaw. It's Eyes Are Placed In Positions Varying From Species to Species. In The Most Common, Playton's Acrution, Has It's Eyes Placed On The End Of The Upper Jaw (It Has 3 Eyes).

The Acrution Is A Species Of Dragon That Earned It's Name From The Amount Of Teeth Jammed Into It's Lower Jaw. This However Is Strange Due To The Fact That Acrutions Have No Teeth In Their Upper Jaw. These Creatures Are Infact Gentle Herbivores Who Adapted Their Large Amounts Of Teeth In An Act of Defence Against Carnivorous Dragons/ Hunters. But Has Become A Mating Billboard. The Males' Strength And Physical Well Being Is Measured By The Size Of The Front Row Teeth, So The larger Your Front Row Teeth Are The More Attractive You Are And The More Likely You Are To Mate. As Of The Past 15 Years These Animals Have Become Quite Popular In Fighting And Betting Parlours Around The Magykal Realm.

Ah yes, the Acrution. They are a strange type of Dragon (technically they are Sub-Dragon as they are not one of the four types of Dragons created at the Beggining.) I have sometimes crossed paths with them and have gained their trust, and I'm always welcome within their broods. I have seen these mating proceedures and they are quite fascinating to watch but I'll spare you the details. It is sad to see that they have been put to fight and betted on, especially these poor turnip eating reptiles. Still, these are one of the many things that Supreme Arch Druid has to deal with, it is tough.

P.S. While not entirrely wrong, Rithin, author of Rithin's book of Dragons, didn't exactly nail it. The teeth in the lower Jaw are meant for three purposes:

1. They are used to attract a suitable mate

2. They are used to fend off attack

3. They are specially designed to chew particularily tough turnips

The teeth are somewhat of a phenomenon of Natural Selection. It is strange how nature works. I am the Keeper of Nature and yet I do not understand the whole thing.
